Not sure about the Ultra settings, but a GTX seems like a good fit. So my CPU will not bottleneck? And the my Watts PSU is fine? As far as your system goes, that card should give you a great performance boost on Starcraft II indeed. So I guess everything is compatible then! You should plan on budgeting for a better PSU, just to be on the safe side, and order both at the same time, that way you don't have to worry about the "what ifs" when it comes to power.
It's worth every penny. Sadly I can't order online because I live in the Philippines. And I can't be picky on the specific models so I really have to go to the store and pick the best one they have. And the W one they recommended to me will work fine for the GTX they said specifically.
Well that bites I'd still recommend getting a better PSU for sure though, at least the if not higher up in the Wattage range, just to be on the safe side. Well turns out I ordered the GTX instead of the , and it arrives from tomorrow to 2 more days. I'm so excited! The wasn't available at the suppliers of the retail shop so they suggested a instead, which I blindly accepted out of excitement.
Do you guys think that it was really a bad decision to buy the instead of waiting when Ti will be available? Although since I'm here in the Philippines chances are new hardware wont be available in retail shops till around 6 months or maybe even 1 or 2 years, so I guess the is not such a fail afterall since the is really really new.
But I read that is cheaper, more energy saving, and even performs better than :. Indeed the Ti is a newer revolution of card, and it does run cooler on less power and slightly perform better, but the is also a nice card, and it has more vRAM ::shrug:: If it ain't available in your area, get the best you can afford. How exactly does having a higher vRam affect performance? Because from the benchmarks Ive seen, performs better on lower res, but beats on higher res in some parts.
But this is actually bad news for me since I only have a 19 inch monitor on x res :. However, it's easy to clock the up until it beats the In fact, even clocked to its max, the fails to match the at its limit. However, due to refined build, the will run cooler and quieter. In order to render images, a graphics card has to load lots of data into RAM. The higher the resolution, the bigger the data. This is why the is better at higher resolutions.
Unfortunately, adding more cards in SLI doesn't help with this, as each card has to load its own copy of the same data it is rendering the same image and so the RAM cannot be added together or shared. Trust me, you'll love that I have two of them and they're awesome. They stomp on s and can even take s. Check out the Heaven 2. It will run anything, don't worry. Feb Can anyone tell me if my current system is compatible to upgrade to GTX ?
But others had also argued that the performance loss is false and that there is little to no performance lost when used with a 1. Which one is true? All Results. What's new. There are some good choices in team green as well, though not all of them. But in your budget you might be able to get a used GTX or maybe even Ti or , which would be a lot faster than either of the AMD cards in your post, if you are willing to buy used cards.

Still, if you're looking to buy a new card, it's a good choice as well, though you might want to see if a different brand is available since I've not really heard of Gainward ever before. The Gainward card might be just fine, but it's just an unknown name and that makes me queasy for such an important part of a PC.
But if you want the best performing card for your money, even if it is used, then the GTX will be faster than the Super, though not by much. It's up to you, both are good choices. Maybe the prices in your locality for used 's would help make the decision easier. Am I correct in assuming that your monitor is 60Hz? If so, then the is a bit of overkill.
That price seems unreasonably high for a used What country are you buying in? You must log in or register to reply here. Question need advice with upgrading old graphics card. Post thread.
